Diverse Actions Legacy Initiatives

Diverse Actions is a Live Art UK project working to champion cultural diversity in Live Art. Following three years of programming, commissioning, and professional development, Diverse Actions are now working to consider the legacy of the project through a series of initatives.

Please join Diverse Actions at the ICA (London) on Wednesday 18 March for the launch of Vanishing Points - a new anthology of cultural criticism, focusing on the making, watching and conditions of live art and performance in the UK today, featuring contributions from Season Butler, Jack Tan, Selina Thompson, Zarina Muhammad, Marjorie Morgan, Rajni Shah and Cecilia Wee. Vanishing Points is edited by Salome Wagaine, with Ava Wong Davies and Ben Kulvichit. Following the event, free copies will be available through Unbound.

The culmination of Diverse Actions was initially marked with a day long symposium - SKIN IN THE GAME - held at Z-Arts in Hulme (Manchester) in November 2019.

Documentation of the day, along with programme information may be viewed here. Responses to the event were collated by Chrystal Genesis and L'Oreal Blackett of Stance Podcast, and artist Alexandrina Hemsley produced an artistic response to the day.

Listen to the SKIN IN THE GAME Podcast and download Alexandrina's response.
